Based on my experience with different internet browsers, today i'm going to write about Opera Browser which is currently my favourite browser. Below is my analysis on benefits of using Opera Browser..
1. [DOT]MHT: Pages can be saved as mht files. No other browser except IE support these format.
2. PRIVACY at its best: Private tabs can be opened in the same window with the normal tabs. No other browser has this kind privacy facility. IE and Firefox don't support simultaneous browsing of private and normal tabs. Chrome provides simultaneous browsing but only in a separate window.
3. NOTES: Important excerpts/links from pages can be saved in notes directly from the page by selecting the text and clicking on "Copy to Note". Also u can edit, delete thiose notes. U can add new notes also and fill like a text editor like notepad. Also u don't need save them manually. Notes are automatically saved with each keypress.
This feature is also very useful for research projects. Ideas often come to your mind while doing other tasks. Opera notes helps [save] ideas without wasting time in opening/creating, editing, saving text files.
Incidentally, I made the draft of this post in the Opera Notes itself.
4. PANELS easily gettable: A list of panels appears placed as u set from where commonly used features(like History, Notes, Downloads, Bookmarks, Chat, Contacts, Widgets and many) can be accessed quickly. And they will appear together with ur tabs in a column. Column sizes can be changed. Also new panel items from the web can be added in the panel.
5.CLOSED TABS: Suppose sometimes u mistakenly(or intentionally also) close any tab. U can reopen it by looking in the list of "recently closed tabs", available in the tab-bar itself, as soon as u realise.
6. RESUME session: Again, sometimes u mistakenly close the window or uhad to close intentionally before completely viewing all the pages and u need to view them again. Opera will come with the option of asking u if want to resume ur last browsing. U can save ur sessions also to browse/view them later at any time.
7. TAB BAR PLACEMENT: The tab-bar can be placed depending on ur convenienc. For example, in an HD Dsiplay/Monitor, while browsing some webpages, a lot of space is left unused in the left and right side.Tab-bar can be placed there to use a greater vertical view of the page.
8. CHAT: U can create chat accounts through opera browser and use chatrooms.
9. SPEED UP IN SLOW CONNECTION: One can enable Opera Turbo to speed up if he's using a slow net connection. This facility is basicallly provided by loading the page by opera server and then sending the pages to us after reducing the size(in turn quality also) of the images which generally consumes large percentage of an webpage.
10. SYNCHRONIZATION: U can synchronize your bookmarks, histories, passwords and some other contents through an opera account and use them in any computer by just opening your Opera account.
11. NO IMAGE: U can select the No Image option from
[Menu>Page>Image>No Image]
to view only the the text of a page and avoid downloading the images when images are unnecessary, making the loading of the page fast and restricting unnecessary data usage.
12. STATUS OF THE PAGE: u acn see what transaction is going on between ur tab and the server and how much of the page has been loaded and how much left to load, the speed, time taken since the page is loading.
13. DEVELOPER TOOLS: Well i don't know much about it. But I know that it must be very useful web-developer people.
14 Well, Someone may think Opera doesn't have the facilities that other Browsers provide. Though u may be right sometimes, but chances are very less. I haven't mentioned above the features Opera have which are available in other browsers also. Because they have become the basic norms for a browser since they are available in almost all the browsers today.
DEMERITS:
Since Opera provide a whole lot of facilities, it uses a comparatively greater CPU usage. In slow or average speed PCs, system may tend to hang if u open a large number of tabs together especially if u open high quality - big size web-pages.

Opera is the browser which I presently use the most. Apart from Opera, I also also use Chrome in many situations. Chrome is ahead of Opera in one thing. Chrome is very light weight, it consumes very little CPU Usage. Also while using Google Services, it loads pages faster than any other browser. So Chrome is my second favourite browser.
